Caramelized Banana Oats

Nom nom nom! I pretty much eat oatmeal every other day so when I start to get bored with it I have to switch it up! I found this amazing recipe from Remi and I'm hooked!

Ingredients:

  • Banana
  • Coconut Oil
  • Maple Syrup (can sub Honey)
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Oats
  • Almond Milk

Instructions:

  • Heat 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil in skillet on low - medium
  • Add 2 tbsp of maple syrup. dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon and mix together
  • Next add in sliced banana and caramelize
  • As bananas are cooking - add 1/2 cup oats & a little more than 1/2 cup of almond milk to a pot and cook on the stovetop (I like to add a dash of vanilla extract to my oats as they cook)
  • When the oats are done add them to a bowl then top with the banana slices, sprinkle a little more cinnamon
